CKP

car key pocket
At the surf spot, the question is often: Where is the car key to be hidden? All your valuables are in the surf van and the best option is to keep the key with you. So there is a pocket for the key on the back lower leg and is equipped with a safety catch.

SMART GENDER DIFFERENCE

smart gender difference
Have you ever inadvertently put your wife's suit on and wondered why he does not fit?
We do not want to built pink Ladies equipment, so we decided to go the smart way. On the outside, the difference can only be found in the color of the model name, this can be seen on the right forearm and on the back of the right shoulder blade. The inner coating is red in women and blue in men. At the latest when you go into your suit, you notice when you put on the wrong one.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

LIMESTONE NEOPRENE

limestone
We use limestone to replace petrochemicals in our neoprene. Limestone is a natural product and less harmful to the environment.

Replaces PETROCHEMICALS In Our Neoprene

ECO CARBON BLACK

scrap tire
A key ingredient of neoprene is carbon black and can now be pyrolyzed from scrap rubber tires. This significantly reduces energy consumption and cuts CO2 emissions by 200 g per neoprene suit.

72% CO2 Emission DECLINED

RECYCLED POLYESTER

plastic bottles
Many parts of our wetsuits are knitted by polyester yarn from recycled bottles. This reduce waste and material consumption at the same time.

WATERBASED GLUE

water based glue
Turning solvent-based glue into waterbased glue, eleminates harmful, volatile and organic compounds.

600g Water Solvent / VOCs ELIMINATED Per Wetsuit

NEOPRENE RECYCLING PROGRESS

neoprene waste
We recycle as much neoprene production waste as possible and turn them into qualified products, thus minimizing the waste that goes to landfills.

UPDATES

2018

March 04, 2018 - Changing the brand again
change from rapidsuit to wetelement

We change the brand and the logo one last time.

Why?

In the long term, we do not just want to sell wetsuits, we want to build a brand. That's why we decided to change the specific name of the super fast wetsuit (rapidsuit) into a brand that can be opened for other products like surfboards and clothing, and also fits the style of a surfer.

wet element is the new name and exactly the one we were looking for. This website will be moving to wetelement.com in the next few months.

How did we do that and what does the new name and logo mean?

wet element describes the element we love - salty, deep blue water. The initials "we" were the basis of our new logo. The "w" is meant to stylize a wave that transforms into the "e", which in turn represents a barrel in which a surfer is inside. It was not easy to create something new that does not fit a cliché.

1. Drawing the shape in golden ratio

2. Placing a surfer as a negative space in the "e"

3. A circle around
